Watch this Video

Day of Faith: Personal Quests for a Purpose - 3. Rachel Esplin from Harvard Hillel on Vimeo.

This Harvard college student expressed the LDS faith thoughtfully and profoundly.
You may also watch the questioning of other panelists of other faiths by visiting this website:

Very interesting.

It is not easy to be a mormon sometimes. I agree with her remarks about a perfect God and imperfect religion. We are men. I felt proud to see a young woman so confidently and faithfully face a crowd and honestly answer those questions. These are times when we need to stand taller and be stronger in our religious convictions.
I believe that diversity in religion, backgrounds, beliefs and cultures bring great blessings to each of us. People are good. And it feels good to have solid grounding in faith and teachings. Truly my religion is intergrated into my core person. But I am me. I am not religion.
Thanks for the post.

My dad sent me that a while ago (he loves to send me all of the Harvard links) & the rest of the religions are really interesting as well. It would have been fun to be there!

I watched this just the other day and was so impressed! It is good to hear people speaking about their testimony from such a well thought out, educated, as well as incredibly faithful place.

I can see why she was accepted to Harvard...it would have been hard for me to answer all those questions as profoundly as she did.
Thanks for posting this!

Hey Annie, What a great video. I hope I can watch the rest of the interviews some day soon. She really did a great job of articulating our beliefs and I felt like I could say a big amen at the end of it. Well said.

Also, you are amazing! I know you said that you pushed your girls in one of those trailer things, but it wasn't until I saw you running in my neighborhood the other night that I really appreciated it. That must be tough! You are one strong girl!! Running, uphill, pushing two children, while carrying on a conversation...you will be ready for a marathon in no time!

That was truly inspiring for me. I have renewed a challenge for myself to acquire a core testimony as she has about all aspects of our religion. What a stalwart girl. That is wonderful.
